What is air conditioning?

How does air conditioning work?
Compressing and condensing
The system’s refrigerant (a specialised, low-pressure gas) is fed into the compressor, where it is heated and pressurised, and is converted into a liquid.
Evaporating
The liquid enters the system’s evaporator coil, where it is converted back to a gas, releasing its heat and cooling the coil.
Cooling
Indoor air is pulled into the system where its heat is absorbed by the refrigerant. The cooled air is circulated into the room and heated gas is sent back to the compressor and released.
